African Union (AU)

The African Union is a continental organization of 55 member states located in the African continent. The union aims to promote cooperation between African countries and to act as a platform for economic, military, and social affairs in the region. When discussing the issues, delegates will need to consider a number of factors, including regional instability, economic depression, and such things.

Topic 1: Combating the illicit arms trade and the heightened use of it by Non-State Actors in the region.

Topic 2: Regulating disputed territories and secessions in the African Continent.
